Challenge
Defence mission-planning environments require software that can support complex operational workflows, route planning, rehearsal, briefing, debriefing and execution support. These systems are used in high-pressure environments where reliability, clarity and usability are critical.
Delivery contribution
Worked as part of a contractor delivery environment supporting BAE Systems’ CAGE mission-planning ecosystem. The wider CAGE product is described by BAE as a mission planning and support product for aircraft and land vehicles, helping users plan, brief, rehearse, execute and debrief missions.
Complexity
The environment involved sophisticated planning workflows, operational constraints, sensitive usage contexts and the need to present complex information in a usable way. Systems of this type need to support decision-making, reduce manual work and help users act quickly with accurate information.
Outcome
The engagement contributed to experience in mission-critical software delivery, secure engineering discipline and complex workflow systems where mistakes can have significant operational consequences.
